PinkPantheress Conjures a Bittersweet Daydream in "Capable of Love"
UK internet superstar PinkPantheress continues to stun as she slowly launches her debut album, heaven knows, set to release November 10, with yet another single, âCapable of Love.â
Effervescent and faithfully committed to Y2K culture, PinkPantheress knows beyond all else that her strength lies in being a storyteller. Sheâs able to articulate the nuance of love and longing in a way many of her peers canât capture, and âCapable of Loveâ is no exception. The single chronicles her attachment to someone who isnât as invested, though itâs difficult to imagine someone immune to PinkPantheressâ allure.
Her name has held weight for quite some time, yet itâs sobering to remember she has yet to release a full-length project beyond her 2021 EP to hell with it. The single accompanies the announcement of her long-awaited album heaven knows, writing via Instagram âThis album is an accumulation of music Iâve made over the last two years, with some beloved tunes that might sound familiar and some cutie features who I canât wait to announce.â
âCapable of Loveâ and last monthâs released single âMosquitoâ have offered a taste of her artistic evolution, maturing in capability while remaining true to her niche. Her songs seem to be (thankfully) longer, yet she canât help but be a musician plagued with infatuation and willing to bleed out loud.
As she gears up for her Camp Flog Gnaw slot, a six-date run through Europe, and supporting a leg of Olivia Rodrigoâs 'Guts' tour, PinkPantheress is only getting started. The worldâs devotion to witnessing and investing in her growth does not go unnoticed, as the songstress shares âI cried the other day thinking of how lucky I am to have people willing to listen to me, you are never taken in vain.â
