PinkPantheress Tees Up the Barbie Move Soundtrack With the Ethereal "Angel"

One of the first singles to drop from the forthcoming BARBIE THE ALBUM, PinkPantheress is expectedly ethereal in “Pink,†teeing up one of the summer’s most anticipated soundtracks.
Executive produced by Mark Ronson, the single honors both PinkPantheress’ affinity for nostalgic pop and the playfully feminine essence of Barbie. Sitting at only two minutes, “Angel†loops blindly, encapsulating you in a world of strings, infectious vocals, and flirtatious longing. For anyone with enough life lived to remember playing Barbie games on their Gameboy, “Angel†mirrors a lot of the game’s sonic score, transporting you to a time when the most important task of the day was shooting hearts out of lipsticks and pairing the right stiletto with its corresponding cocktail dress.
Set to release on July 21, PinkPantheress couldn’t have been a more fitting voice to feature on the Atlantic Records soundtrack. She embodies Y2K energy with fervor, whether it’s through her fashion, blunt bangs, or the innocence of her nonchalance. The singer is in robust company, sharing a tracklist with acts like Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, Khalid, Tame Impala, GAYLE, and more.
With a relentlessly charting viral-turned-radio hit and massive global attention, it’s safe to assume PinkPantheress will only continue to dominate the new digital age.
