Ogi Makes a Bold First Impression With  Debut Single "I Got It"

"Did you want more flavor in the game?" Yes, we did.  "Yeah, you're welcome." Well, thank you for popping off so strong. If you like a click clack tempo, pulling a thread through a needle cadence, and lush background vocals to wind up your newest playlist, then Ogi's debut single is a must-add.

This MidWest poet of Nigeria-born parents was on track to go to law school after her undergrad at Northwestern until her inner voice decided she should take a chance on her creative self and moved to LA, putting her jazz and choir background to use in the studio. The result is a fantastic amalgamation of sounds and influences, and "I Got It" is a statement effort to the power of trusting yourself and saying what needs to be said.

"This music represents me coming into myself and not being afraid of saying things I wish I said to other people... It's as if I'm speaking directly to someone who's in my head - like subtweets to other people. When you hear me, I want you to know your feelings are valid. Even if you think you shouldn't say them, it's okay, because there's someone with the exact same feelings," shares Ogi. The effect is excellent and unmistakable. We got it and we know you'll get it too if you give it a spin.
