Krooked Kings Invite Us Into Their Coming of Age Story in 'All Out of Good Days'

Your past doesn’t define you. Part of growing up is determining what you take with you and what you leave behind. Utah band Krooked Kings have consciously decided to distance themselves from the religion they were raised in. The result of channeling this journey into their music is an ingenuous, emotionally deep, and thought-provoking album, All Out of Good Days.

It's a complex experience to leave behind your youth, let alone a religion that was at the foundation of your upbringing. However, Krooked Kings have found a way to share their experiences through music, stating that the album dives into how they “process their experiences of the world” as they reflect on “how utterly confusing, depressing, and joyful it can be.” Their honest recollections in tracks like “Coming of Age” and “Sick of Being Young” spur on a bit of revelry as the upbeat vibe of this album makes you want to dance, feeling as if the energy of the album is meant to mirror the exuberance of their youth.

Too often, reflecting on the lessons learned or the growth gained from experience seems only possible once we are through it. All Out of Good Days encapsulates the struggles of growing up and figuring out who you are. If the journey from adolescence onward needed a soundtrack, this would most assuredly be it. Life often presents itself as a continuous learning opportunity. So, no matter what stage of life you find yourself in, there is something to be gleaned from Krooked Kings and their heartfelt reflections in All Out of Good Days.
