JAWNY Finds Himself Painfully Head Over Heels in "Boy Scout"

JAWNYâs indie pop takeover just underwent a massive upleveling with his latest release âBoy Scout,â a feel-good track that is both slurred and refreshing.
JAWNYâs 2019 hit single "Honeypie" landed him a deal with Interscope Records and a pretty public relationship with a pop star, which could both mean either the kiss of death or the promise of fame. Luckily, thanks to JAWNYâs commitment to being untamable, silly, and unfathomably talented, the trade went pretty well for him.
The first single released since his debut album, It's Never Fair, Always True, âBoy Scoutâ does not stray from JAWNYâs easily recognizable and fully-formed sound. Heâs authentic in a manner thatâs almost aggressive, which is felt in every strand of his work. His slacker rock is densely euphoric, making music suitable for an Urban Outfitters playlist just as much as an oceanside car ride.
Thereâs no holding back the severity of his infatuation in âBoy Scout,â an outcry to make it hurt even better. It soundtracks the moment you fully surrender to your crush, whether theyâre aware of it or not, and submit to their capture. Itâs an elixir weâve all sipped on before, and JAWNY has found a way to make a party of it, as only he could.
Landing itself at the very top of Spotify's Indie Rock Playlist, as well as on our weekly Now Watching Playlist, "Boy Scout" will only make JAWNY's name all the more invasive, and with warm welcome.
