FLO's "Losing You" Sees The Rapidly Rising R&B Group Basking in a Break-Up

Adding to their rich catalog of full-body R&B masterpieces, FLO continues to stun with their latest single “Losing You,” a boisterous celebration of a breakup gone right.

Rumored to be considered potential candidates for opening Beyonce’s upcoming 'Renaissance tour,' FLO has done an exceptional job at invoking praise from those up most high. Praise rightfully earned, of course, as there are no cut corners in their discography. They live in true devotion to the tried and true mechanics of authentic R&B: first verse, chorus, second verse, vamp, and an unearthly bridge. So much of their respect comes from how beautifully they honor their predecessors, bowing to what has been built brick by brick by girl groups before them.

“Losing You” is a tale of sweet liberation—the sudden realization that the sting you braced for is actually euphoria. When the absence you dreaded is actually expansion, leaving more room for you to evolve and flourish. Accompanied by visuals as soft as their vocals, it’s tangible how settled FLO sits in their skin. It’s clearly communicated, less with words and more with essence, how aware they are of their reign. There are no theatrics, nor overly intricate choreography to distract you from their effortless musicality—just three goddesses with brown lip liner and heavenly harmonies.

Breaking records as the first group to win a Brit Rising Award and with headlining sold-out shows under their belt, FLO’s wins are a win for every shade of black girl and every devout fan of R&B. As “Losing You” solidifies their versatility, there’s little room to argue that FLO are legends in the making.
