Coco & Clair Clair's "Love Me" Is Pristine Pop For the Digital Age

Sonically ethereal, “Love Me” departs from Coco & Clair Clair’s usual internet pop sound and enters two-step garage territory, giving us a glimpse of the adventure to come on their debut album SEXY, set to release November 4.

Twitter-friends-turned-besties, Coco & Clair Clair have garnered their fame by elegantly telling us they already were famous. Every inch of the way they present themselves glistens with awareness of their due stardom, and rather than intimidating, it’s full-on empowering. “If you had me, would you flaunt me? Could you keep me? Baby reach me, telephone beep me,” sings the duo, continuing to play on their most noteworthy strength, which is penning incredibly catchy choruses you can’t help but melt into.

Following PinkPantheress' lead while continuing to hone their own je ne sais quoi, listening to Coco & Clair Clair is a healing balm for the inner child within. They’re wondrously free, marveling at their own malleability. While still maintaining respect for the blooming of their careers, they can’t be bothered to take themselves seriously, integrating memes and pop culture references to reflect the beautiful parts of being raised in the digital age. It’s clear they’re making music for the kind of girls they’d share a lunch table with, because who else would possibly get a “Ur So Gay” by Katy Perry reference?

Their debut project, SEXY, which strays from over-sensationalized names and instead features talented artists they truly want to be on the come up with, is expected to be nothing short of a bedroom pop whirlwind.
