Adam Pastel Returns on the Dreamlike "WISH FOR"

Bay Area rapper, singer, and songwriter Adam Pastel first started gaining attention for his debut project MISTAKEN MEMORIES. The project showcases Pastel's ability to pen summery, pop-rap tracks over a wide range of instrumentals. Tracks like  "LMK" and  "REWIND" are perfect examples of why Pastel is such an entertaining artist. The tracks are fun, charismatic, and feature some of Pastel's catchiest hooks.

And Pastel is finally back with his follow-up effort, "WISH FOR." The track is produced by frequent collaborator Justice Skolnik and features an ethereal, dreamlike instrumental driven by a hard-hitting bassline.  "The song is a difficult 'no' to wanting to be in a relationship. This girl wishes to be more than what we already are, and the feeling isn't mutual anymore,“ Pastel tells us regarding the lyrical content of the track.

"WISH FOR" is just as catchy as many of the tracks on MISTAKEN MEMORIES, but it showcases a new artistic side to Pastel. The track is more moody, atmospheric, and melodic than many of its predecessors, but Pastel still manages to captivate listeners while displaying his versatility.
