WesGhost Delivers an Intoxicating Tale of Heartbreak in "DOOMED"

Rising genre-blending artist WesGhost continues his stellar breakout year with the addictive single "DOOMED." The track highlights the artist's chameleonic range, using lively production juxtaposed with deeply vulnerable and relatable lyricism to take listeners on a journey through the peaks and pitfalls of love.
"DOOMED" sees upbeat, pop-punk, and emo-infused instrumentals lace WesGhost's cynical vocals as he reveals why he's "doomed." In the first verse, he grapples with having to cut ties and say goodbye to someone he cares about, leading to an emotionally charged pre-chorus where he explains, "Right now life sucks," and that while their partner is falling out of love, he's stuck on their relationship. In the mosh-worthy chorus, he reflects on the night his partner left and remembers how "The flowers that I got you died/ But at least you're still in bloom."
"DOOMED" follow the success of WesGhost's previous releases "CURSED," "FACELESS," and "SLEEPWALKING," with the latter being his first official release. According to the artist, "Sleepwalking" marks the beginning of WesGhost's story and how he's always been and felt like an outcast and wanted to make music for people who don't feel seen. The song is about wanting to stay in that dream state, never wanting to wake up and face the world alone. It uses the artist's love of '90s and early '00s alternative and hip-hop to create a debut effort that gives listeners a peek inside the mind of a ghost.
