Jersey native Riovaz is officially in his rave era with his latest single “U Neva,” a dynamic house track that doesn’t forfeit his nigh-perfected ability to make a ruptured heart soar.

It doesn’t take much to generate hype around any potential new Riovaz music, with many having been loyally locked in since his 2020 nostalgic hit “Prom Night.” A shift in tone, “U Neva” is a hypno-whirlwind that’s impossible not to get lost in. “Had this one in the vault for over a year now and the demand for it is still at an all-time high. Open your ears and find out why,” shares the New Jersey native.

Underneath its heavy electronic arrangement, Riovaz sings of a lover that’s gotten so lost in him, she can’t see it’s not quite mutual. “I let her think we’re in love” is a standout line, followed by an addictive chorus that repeats her confronting his broken promise, “You never cared at all.” Riovaz always manages to maintain emotional density amidst a dizzying orchestra, with neither at compromise.

As he plans to set off for his 'Riorave Tour' through February, fans are aching for his teased EP, which may promise even more bouncy house refractions. He’s embodied disruption, challenging norms by expressing through his own ever-morphing mind.
