JIAER Comes To Terms With His Flaws On "Devil In Me"  [PREMIERE]

New Jersey born and raised singer, songwriter, and producer JIAER is the type of artist you definitely need to keep an eye on. While his music has been described as a hybrid of R&B, pop, and soul, JIAER hasn't exactly found a single genre to call home. As a senior in high school, he released his first single, "Fool 4 U," which gained considerable attention on SoundCloud overnight.

Now, he’s finally ready to present the world with his proper debut single, “Devil In Me.” JIAER is a bedroom artist to the core, taking on the multiple roles of producer and engineer, and that “start to finish” workflow gives JIAER the depth in order to carry out sonically lush music like “Devil In Me.”

JAIER’s debut single is oozing with self-reflection and admittance, most notably in the chorus, crooning “I’m not myself right now, you brought out the Devil in me, sorry if I’m causing hell.” JIAER masterfully balances full-bodied production moments with stripped back sections to give “Devil In Me” the crashing wave of emotion through JIAER’s personal lyrics. Pulsing electronic baselines and layers of vocal harmonies take on a Kid Cudi level of ambiance and build on that reference in a more R&B-focused direction.

JIAER is at his best when he's able to wear his heart on his sleeve in lyrical form and pull from real life situations, walking the line of emotional unravelling throughout “Devil In Me."
