With energy as palpable through headphones as it is when you see them spin live, Coco & Breezy are ones to watch in dance music. The Afro-Latina DJ-producer duo has been on a consistent rise, proving that women of color are at the forefront of the scene. And they continue to inspire everyone around them to build their own tables to sit at. For their newest release, Coco & Breezy drop "Liftin Me Up" on LP Giobbi's latest Femme House Compilation with Insomniac Records.

The song isn't only about celebrating female empowerment for Women's History Month, but it's also about family and community. They share, "No one has lifted us up more than our parents, so when our Mom needed some support recently, we had to make sure we held her down like she's always done for us. Our conversation is sampled in this song, and it’s the spiritual basis for the track's message: Everything is carved out in our lives for a reason.“

"Liftin Me Up" is encouraging, elevating, and electrifying. The buoyant club beat is a defectless backdrop for the bubby chopped-up vocals that chants "you're liftin’ me up!" The affirmations ooze through the track and begin to seep into your brain as you listen, making you more and more empowered to take on anything that comes your way. Coco & Breezy says that's exactly the point. "Progress isn't passive and it doesn't happen alone. We are constantly setting intentions, reflecting, and affirming one another to help our whole tribe grow & prosper. We need to lift each other up - through words, through actions, and through music."

And with any Coco & Breezy song, you're going to instantly want to get up and move once you hit play. Their music transports you onto a tropical island with your best friends, with nothing but each other and the music to worry about. Their sultry house-R&B sound is exactly what you need in your party playlist as the weather warms up, so get ready to dance.
