Armani White's  "2maro" Is a Spitfire Hip-Hop Declaration

A true lyrical mastermind, Armani White draws inspiration from an unlikely situation: the domestic violence episode that ensued between his parents when he was just four years old. White's hard-hitting verses differ from the average rapper's because of this rare ability to transform the darkest moments into compelling tracks. Before White unveils his highly anticipated debut project, he is treating us to the delectable "2maro."

With lively brass elements and an infectious beat, "2maro" features the charismatic energy White carries everywhere he goes. In this bad-to-the-bone track, White touches on the complications of juggling responsibilities with an immature perspective, only to succumb to procrastination. White makes this utterly clear in the hook, during which we are thrown into a troublesome argument of want and need.

White spoke further on  "2maro," sharing,

"It felt almost like being offset by depression but blaming laziness. Time flew and I stayed the same distance in between what I needed to be doing and what I wanted to be doing while both grew further apart from each other. Hence why the hook battles between 'I want. No! I need.'"
